What Northeast Wisconsin says about BugBoss

BugBoss The X-Terminator is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 95 reviews on its Google Business Profile. The reviews below are real and verbatim from that profile, lightly trimmed where they were long. What customers mention most often is response speed, fair pricing, and problems that actually stopped rather than being managed.

★★★★★ 4.9 out of 5 from 95 reviews across Google, Facebook, and Yelp.

What people actually mention

Reading through them, the same four things come up far more than anything else — and notably, none of them are about products or programs.

  • It got fixed. Not managed, not reduced — stopped. Several reviews specifically describe a problem ending after one visit rather than becoming a standing arrangement.
  • He came quickly. Including a Saturday, and including jobs nobody enjoys — one of these is somebody crawling under a house to find a dead animal after new skirting went on.
  • The price was fair and it was known up front. Every job is quoted after looking at the property, which is why there is no price list on this site.
  • He was respectful of the house. Shoe covers, working around whether anyone is home, and treating the place as somebody\u2019s home rather than a job site.

That is a fairly narrow set of expectations, and it is roughly what we would want a small local pest company to be judged on.

“Called Brian to come take care of our mouse problem — we were finding multiple mice daily. Brian came out and after he left we no longer had any issues with mice! 10/10 recommend him for any bug/rodent services you need. Very affordable and great customer service.”

“We had bees build a nest under our camper. Brian came right out and eliminated the bees, removing the nest — very quick response. Fair pricing. Definitely will be using again and recommending to the other campers.”

“We've had BugBoss at our house for a few seasons now. Service has always been good — they'll drop by and chat if you're home, or just get it done if you're not. They've always been very respectful about dogs and kids, and making sure our fences get closed so everyone stays safe. Good communication, price is good, and I haven't seen a mosquito in my yard since 2022. I mean it, zero.”

“I highly recommend BugBoss for all your pest removal needs. BugBoss did a great job helping us mouse & bug proof our house. In no time the mice were gone from our house. Then we tried the mosquito abatement and we had a great summer enjoying our yard for the first time.”

“Bug Boss showed up on a Saturday and had to crawl under our residence and locate a carcass after we got skirting on our house — and he did this in 45 minutes! 100% recommended! Very friendly, very personable, very timely.”

“I've been very happy with BugBoss and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pest control services… Their prices are fair, their service is reliable, and I've always had great results. In all the time I've used them, I've never had to call for a respray — something I struggled with using other companies… It's hard to find a company these days that consistently shows up, does what they say they're going to do, and charges a fair price. BugBoss checks all those boxes.”

Been out to your place? Leave Brian a review.

Reviews are the one part of this business a website cannot do for itself, and they are how people in small towns decide who to call. It takes about thirty seconds — the link opens the review box straight away.

If something went wrong

The other half of taking reviews seriously is being reachable when the work was not right. If a treatment has not held, if something was missed, or if the visit was not what you expected, call 866-BUGBOSS and say so — ideally before you write anything, because a problem we do not know about is one we cannot fix, and most of what goes wrong in this trade is sorted on a return visit.

There is no complaints department and no script. You are dealing with the owner, which cuts both ways: there is nobody to escalate to, and there is nobody who can pass you along either. If you are on quarterly service and a covered pest is not staying gone, the guarantee sets out plainly what that entitles you to — including the exclusions, which are worth reading before you need them.

About these reviews: FAQs

Are these reviews real?

Yes, and here is exactly what has and has not been done to them. Each one is transcribed verbatim from the public Google Business Profile. Longer reviews are trimmed to a representative excerpt, marked with an ellipsis, and punctuation is tidied — wording is not changed and nothing is paraphrased. The names are the public display names Google shows. No reviewer towns are listed, because Google does not publish them and we are not going to invent them. The full set is on the Google profile and you can check any of these against it.

Why do the star ratings here not show up in Google search results?

Because we have deliberately not marked them up that way, and it is worth explaining rather than leaving it to look like an oversight. Google does not support self-serving Review and AggregateRating structured data on a business’s own page for rich results, so a site that emits it is either being ignored or risking a manual action. The rating and the reviews are displayed honestly here for people to read; the stars you see in a search result come from the Google Business Profile itself, which is the correct source.

How do I leave a review?

The button above opens the Google review box directly rather than the profile page, which saves a step. It takes about thirty seconds and you do need a Google account. If you would rather not use Google, Yelp and Facebook both work. What is genuinely useful in a review is the specifics — which pest, which town, and whether the problem actually stopped — because that is what the next person reading it is trying to work out.

What if I am not happy with the work?

Call 866-BUGBOSS and say so, before you write anything. That is not us trying to head off a bad review — it is that a problem we do not know about is a problem we cannot fix, and most of what goes wrong in this trade is fixable on a return visit. You are dealing with the owner rather than a franchise complaints line, so there is nobody to escalate to and no script. If quarterly service is not holding on a covered pest, the guarantee page sets out what that entitles you to.

Why does a small business care this much about reviews?

Because in a rural market they are close to the whole marketing budget. There is no billboard on Highway 45 that does what a neighbor saying "call Brian" does, and reviews are the online version of that. They are also the one part of this business a website genuinely cannot do for itself — we can write every page on this site, but we cannot write these, which is exactly why they are worth something.

Do you offer anything in exchange for a review?

No. No discount, no entry into a draw, no free service. Incentivised reviews violate Google’s policies, they are usually obvious to readers, and a review somebody was paid for is worth nothing to the person trying to decide whether to call us. If you leave one it is because the work was worth mentioning.
